The Japanese A5 is exactly what I expected. Very highly marbled. Low fat content (the layers of fat, not the intramuscular marbling). It is so juicy due to the marbling. It was very tender. Hardly any effort to bite down. Almost like eating cotton candy. I’d urge and encourage any and everyone that is curious to at least TRY it once in your life. It’s worth the experience.
For the Australian Waygu #7 ms. I’m sorry, but what Jimmy P’s gave me turned out to be what I EXPECTED from Snake River Farms! I actually made the first one yesterday. Cast iron, season pan, NO GREASE, salt n pepper, garlic butter on one half of it. SO GOOD!!! Mixing each cut into the melted butter and natural juices. BEST. STEAK. EVER. Price is steep though.
